Although this post is much slower then Tsubaki’s entry in ADD which pretty much encapsulates on what’s so good about this Ichikawa Jun’s movie made in 2001, I still hope that this post would provide an insight into the perceived ideas behind this piece of art.

Being one of the new members, I was told to write before tripeman be unleashed on me. In great fear, I wasted my whole day on this. Hope you all enjoy it.

Author’s Note: This is an article that’s about my personal opinions and views on 秒速５センチメートル ~ a chain of short stories about their distance ~ (Byousoku 5cm as it would be referred for the rest of the article) . I would assume that you already have seen the film as I wont be faithfully repeating the storyline in the article. It does not seek to be educational or instructive in its purposes, that aside please enjoy reading and ignore all the glaring grammar errors and not get bored by the length of it.
