With the bombshell marking the beginning of the next stage of the Okazakis’ life together, the soon-to-be father starts thinking about how he’ll soon have to provide for a family of three, as all responsible fathers-to-be would eventually have to get around to considering. But although the announcement of expecting a child is a significant event that is usually greeted with not a small amount of joy, Tomoya would soon realize that for him and Nagisa, it is about to become the source of worries far greater than simply being a breadwinner for a family expecting a new member; for this pregnancy might very well change their lives as they know it, and not necessarily in the way that a normal pregnancy might be expected to. This is probably the hardest episode of CLANNAD I have had to sit through so far, and it’s only about to get even harder.

Instead of the "move" everyone (including myself) expected that she was about to make last episode, it turns out that Rina-sama seems to be solely interested in helping the current couple make time for each other, for now. Granted, it’s still early enough in the series such that it’s not unbelievable that Rina was truly sincere about wanting to help the couple for now, but it’s also quite obvious that things are going to get complicated soon enough; it’s only a matter of when. It’s not too hard to deduce the direction in which the storyline of White Album is headed, but knowing that, the question is; is it still worth watching anyway?

In the millions of anime series that you’ve watched, you’ll probably have come across quite a few that got you all excited and steaming in your pants because they started out so good, so intriguing and so creative. The ideas were unorthodox, far-removed from the usual romantic comedies, shounen powerups and other lame-o-cliches. But inevitably, the writers, for some reason, would fuck up the show.

Here are my top 5 shows that were seemingly really awesome but turned out so bad, it’s like going to bed with a hot supermodel only to find that she not only was a HE but had AIDS, syphillis and hair lice all together.

Assuming there is a AFA 2009 of course. Hopefully this year it doesn’t fall near university exam dates like last year’s, which resulted in my inability to attend. I hear rumblings coming from AFA insider Darkmirage about how AFA 2009 might have yet another guest seiyuu star, and possibly his favourite Sakamoto Maaya, while another one of the local otakus who appear to wield great power for some unknown reason informed me that they are stamping their little feet for Mizuki Nana.

Wow, it seems just yesterday that this tiny island police state never got any visitors, and now everyone’s starting to pick and choose. But while we’re at it, tell us, which seiyuu guest would you really really wish to see at AFA 2009?
