Regular Features to Look Out for Here on Riuva

The delay in receiving my digicam means that my blog has not been progressing like I had hoped. Everyone has their own style of anime blogging. Sama Zama uses her wit and humour to make fun of scenes, lolitron posts really funny news and Anime on my Mind has its character power battles.

Before I started out, I planned for a site with a moderate amount of pictures, accompanied by analytical commentaries and reviews. I’m not the funniest person partly due to my day job churning out foul, meaninglessly boring military propaganda. However, the lack of a digicam (yet) means that I cannot start on my figurine reviews and other related columns. 2 more weeks to go before I get it. It’s going to be a long wait.

I plan to have the following regular features:
Anime Rave (AP)
I’ll focus on one anime and rave about its greatness. Like what I did for Yomigaeru Sora: Rescue Wings. Expect a brainwashing session.

Anime Analysis (AA)
This feature will take a more balanced viewpoint in reviewing anime. I promise to be objective, as usual.

Girl Power (GP)
Once a week, I’ll feature a female character. Included will be pictures, profile, analysis and most of all, why she’s worthy of being on GP. Info on merchandise as well.

Mecha Madness (MM)

Once a week (or less, since there are so few worthy mecha), a mecha will be featured. Included are pictures, specs, analysis and information on its model kits/action figures.

Figurine News (FN)

When anything interesting is set to appear on the market, I’ll bring you the details and pictures. Includes both Figurines and model kits.

Figurine Review (FR)
When I receive a new figurine, I’ll surely do a review on it. Includes self-taken pictures and a detailed write-up.

Manga Review (MR)
I do read tonnes of manga. If I come across anything worth reviewing, I’ll do it.

  • Great set of future features! It seems with these this blog could become one of the most interesting and unique around. I’m particularly looking forward to reading about your latest figurines and mecha.

  • Wai, wai! ヽ(^◇^*)/ ワーイ I was special enough to be mentioned!

Good luck keeping up with your features, I think it is important to develop a strong sense of individual style when it comes to endeavors like blogging. My blog is fairly new so I am still wandering around and trying to find myself. Pictures are always good, if only to break up long bouts of text. Plus, I like colors. Lots of colors. (Probably a girly thing).

Oh, and don’t put yourself down so much! I foresee great contributions to the blogging community, and if readers didn’t want long posts, they wouldn’t bother with places like Random Curiosity, Memento, or half the popular blogs out there! Just write what you like, how you like, and blogging will be more enjoyable for both you and your readers.
