Figure News: Last Exile Trading Bust Set by Alter Set for August!!

Looking at Yujin’s releases, such as the latest Fate Stay Night trading set makes me feel the likes of Alter should be worshipped on a holy altar. For the same price as the rubbish from Yujin, we get this. The F4 Last Exile Grand Stream box!

There will be 7 figures in the set, no variants or secrets. The proportion of each will not be the same though, so I suspect some may be rarer than others. These come with a base and are 10 cm tall. The amount of detail here looks fantastic, let’s hope the final product will be as great.

Alter’s great for their detail and high quality paint jobs and sculpting and under the close supervision of the original character design of Last Exile, Range Murata, the characters’ costumes, faces have been exactly replicated and brought to life. I’m sooooo getting this set.

Claus, the hero of the story. Funny how he looks slightly perverted here. Lavie is in her usual midriff baring top. These two busts are face closeups.

Cute Alviss is even cuter here and has her whole body in the bus. Comes with her goat too. Alex has his upper body intact. Having more body means less emphasis on face.

Dio and Lucciola come together. My favourite girl, Tatiana, in her uniform. w00ttt~ It was pretty lucky to get Tatiana in inside other some other girl.

The steampunk Vanship!! I love the design.

They look gorgeous!~~~ Too bad only the top half is there. I’ll buy it if the full body version is available. Without her body, Ravie looks real creepy, especially after I’ve just watched Higurashi…

This is the kind of thing that the anime should have - excellent translation into animation. The anime doesn’t look as good as the original drawings. GONZO should have spent more money on their anniversary project.

FINALLY!
We have been keeping our fingers crossed since Last Exile was aired that some decent figures would be made and the bobbleheads were like a slap in the face with a wet fish. These are absolutely incredible (though we would love to have larger scale models of several of the ships) and I have just worn my fingerprints off looking online for where to get a complete set. Every place I’ve found them at will offer single random pieces or an unopened box of 10… This a game that I do not enjoy playing.
