New Camera! W0000 POWER!

These pictures were taken under crap fluorescent lighting even the Powershot S3 IS couldn’t get good pics under. The power of 30,000 dollars.

The promo pictures of Dark Saber were the best I’ve seen of any figure photos at that point of time and I decided that I had to have her. But somehow the parcel went AWOL for 90 days before showing up at my doorstep. 3 months! I almost got a refund from HLJ too. But it’s a good thing this figure turned out so well because all that anger was diffused straightaway upon opening the box.

Now that I’m inching ever closer to true freedom, I got the urge to buy a few model kits to do up during my projected free time next year. I got myself the F91 Master Grade kit as well as Wave’s 1/24 Tachikoma. F91 is like strangely unpopular, even though for some reason, it happens to be my favourite Gundam. I got Tachikoma because a team of us nerds are planning to form a Tachikoma army, each contributing one painted machine.

Having finished watching the horrible Scryed, I felt compelled to get the recently released Megahouse version of Xeres. She’s cute yeah. The show was great for the early and middle parts but the ending was so bad, it made Love Idol look like Last Exile. How the fuck can you end the story at episode 24 and have the main characters fighting nonsensically for two episodes? The show started sinking at about episode 20 onwards though.

This figure probably has the hardest name to remember. Her full name is Me-109E-3 German Luftwaffe Maschenung Fighter. Me for Messerschmitt of course. Produced by Fox Shuppan (not the American one), this 1/9 scale figure (17 cm) comes with a extensive booklet on other fighters such as the Spitfire and information on the Battle of Britain. The Me-109 is the main fighter plane used by the German Air force during WWII and flown by the ace pilot with the most kills in history, Erich Hartmann (352 frags).
